Job Description


As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol Full-Time in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a vibrant tech, media, and telecom location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service. By engaging with visitors and staff, you will support a culture of integrity and teamwork, reflecting our commitment to putting people first and delivering reliable, innovative service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following company protocols and client expectations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activities and provide a visible presence.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or potential security-related issues and promptly report findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control measures by observing entrances, exits, and restricted areas, helping to maintain authorized personnel flow.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and promote a secure environment.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and other relevant observations as required by site policies.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment, adapting to varying working conditions typical in a tech or media-oriented location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
