As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a vibrant retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for all visitors. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a positive experience, while your commitment to Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture will shine through. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for navigating the property, responding to calls for service, and providing outstanding customer service and communication at every opportunity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail or mall location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and site personnel regarding observations and activities as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with company and site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
