Job Description


As a Security Professional - Educational Building Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a secure environment while providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding areas to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry points to help to maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with campus personnel and members of the public as required.
  • Document activities, observations, and incidents thoroughly in daily reports or logs for Allied Universal and site management review.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Being at least 21 years of age is required.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
