As a Airport Security Professional - Curbside Patrol in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon/Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with resolution as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual observations.
• Monitor access points and observe activities to help to deter potential security-related incidents in accordance with established protocols.
• Document and report any observed incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
• Communicate and coordinate with local authorities and emergency services when appropriate during incidents or emergencies.
• Perform additional security-related duties as assigned by Allied Universal or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with computers or tablets is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid training is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
