Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols Full-Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all. In this armed and driving role, you will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to support a positive atmosphere, and provide exceptional customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Report any unusual activity, incidents, or emergencies according to established protocols.
  • Interact with staff, visitors, and/or the public in a professional manner while upholding security-related standards at a government location.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including evacuations and/or lockdowns, as needed based on site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • Applicants must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must possess a college degree.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A corrections officer license is required.
  • Applicants must provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or have an associate degree or 60 college credits or possess a police academy certificate or corrections academy certificate.
  • A law enforcement officer license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
