As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Patrol and Access Control in Lancaster, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Your presence and strong communication skills will support a sense of comfort for everyone on site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and around its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel or authorities as needed.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying authorized personnel as required.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any security-related incidents or hazards within the retail environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, staff, and Allied Universal management as needed during routine activities or incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
