Job Description


As a Security Professional - Healthcare Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence and interaction will provide reassurance and support, while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related issues as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns and identify any unusual activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal and location protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and/or granting access to authorized individuals as required.
  • Support staff, patients, and visitors by answering questions and providing directions as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
  • Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
