Job Description


As a Security Professional - Access Control Site Driver in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor entry points, conduct regular patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a strong presence. Your role will involve engaging with visitors and staff, providing excellent customer service, and utilizing technology to manage access efficiently. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the state is required. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location, following established procedures and site-specific guidelines.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by addressing inquiries and assisting with entry procedures in line with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed based on company and site policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and/or law enforcement when necessary to address security-related incidents.
  • Support emergency response activities by following established procedures and assisting with evacuations or lockdowns when appropriate.
  • Remain observant of the environment and report any security-related issues, hazards, or suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities or management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
