Job Description


As a Security Guard - CRE Roving Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prestigious commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. Your visibility and attentive presence will support the comfort of tenants and visitors, while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and general activity in and around the location to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment.
  • Communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives according to established protocols.
  • Complete required documentation and reports related to daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and support a positive experience for tenants, visitors, and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Current CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
