Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Government Center Patrol - Full Time in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong presence. You will interact with the public, respond promptly to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location, including both the property and its perimeter, to help to deter potential risks and unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor for suspicious activities and report security-related concerns or incidents according to established protocols.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and/or any unusual occurrences as required.
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Follow all protocols regarding the handling, use, and storage of firearms in compliance with Allied Universal policies and local regulations.
  • Remain alert and attentive to environmental changes and emerging situations within the government facility.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
