What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and help maintain a secure environment.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas as required by site protocols.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in accordance with established protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter criminal activity and support client operations.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations and licensing requirements related to armed security operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
