Job Description


As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom environment. By conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure atmosphere for clients and visitors. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service and communication, allowing you to interact with a diverse community while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter, with attention to areas relevant to technology, media, and telecommunications operations.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and client representatives.
  • Assist in helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within and around the location.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of daily activities and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Support access control processes, verifying credentials and managing visitor entry as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and on-site staff to promote a secure environment tailored to the needs of a technology, media, and telecommunications setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
