Job Description


As a Security Officer - Auto Patrol Shift Lead in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a major automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication to those onsite. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the business and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity within the automotive facility.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues within the location.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors at the site as part of security-related duties.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Complete required documentation, including incident and/or daily activity reports, as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
