As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver - Government in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents and respond quickly to potential concerns. This role requires carrying a concealed weapon and driving as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following location-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Operate and maintain awareness of any site-specific systems or protocols related to security-related functions.
  • Complete required reports and documentation of incidents and daily activities as instructed by Allied Universal and the client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • A minimum of one year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
