Job Description


As a Security Professional - Mall Patrol Driving Role in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for customers and employees. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle and/or on foot. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the retail location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail store and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
  • Support access control practices by monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter theft or unauthorized entry.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters and contribute to a secure environment for customers and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
