Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol in Troy, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols and delivering outstanding customer service through clear communication. This position requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter security-related breaches.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors while enforcing site-specific protocols.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation of all patrols, observations, and incidents encountered during the shift.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement and/or emergency services when required by the situation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in an armed security, law enforcement, or military role is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
