Job Description


As a Security Officer - Auto Lot Patrol in Fountain Valley, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an auto industry location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing visible presence throughout the site. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, assisting with access control, and offering outstanding customer service to staff and visitors. You will contribute to a welcoming and secure environment by communicating clearly and responding professionally to inquiries. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the automotive facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff and visitors as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, checking for proper access credentials in alignment with location-specific protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and provide assistance related to security-related matters.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
  • Assist with emergency response procedures as needed, including coordinating with local authorities and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
