As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Specialist in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional at a high-end retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for guests, staff, and merchandise. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, offering assistance to visitors, shoppers, and employees as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential concerns.
• Observe for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and/or managing visitor flow as required by site policies.
• Work closely with Allied Universal management and client representatives to address security-related needs and maintain a welcoming environment for all patrons.
• Support emergency response activities, including guiding individuals during evacuations and/or assisting first responders as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
