As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Monitor in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access processes, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, playing a key role in fostering a welcoming and orderly atmosphere. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and authorizations for personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering and exiting the premises.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports related to access control activities and security-related incidents, following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service by offering assistance and information to employees, contractors, and/or visitors as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to established protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site contacts to uphold security-related procedures and site-specific requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas around the location and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity, as assigned.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site leadership or Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific hazards and protocols, particularly given the chemical and/or petrochemical environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
