As a Security Officer - Flex Healthcare Patrols in Desoto, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to promote a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies and visitor disturbances as appropriate for the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to monitor for situations that require security-related attention.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas within the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with access control procedures, visitor management, and enforcement of location policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
