As a Security Guard - Government Patrol Routes in ORLANDO, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, remaining highly visible to help deter potential security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, following established protocols and responding appropriately to situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using established procedures to address and resolve issues.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any unusual conditions, recognizing that working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any irregularities according to site-specific guidelines.
  • Document observations and report incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities in a timely and accurate manner, utilizing Allied Universal's reporting protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency response personnel as directed by site protocols during critical incidents or emergencies.
  • Remain alert to changes in environment and communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding any concerns or incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
