As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver Government in Spruce Pine, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting thorough patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a government location. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location, including the perimeter and designated areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any irregularities.
• Monitor and report any unusual activities or security-related concerns according to company policy and client instructions.
• Operate and maintain awareness of access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
• Document and communicate all incidents, observations, and/or actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities as required, including coordination with law enforcement or emergency services when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
