Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in Northborough, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for all. Your presence and attentiveness will support a sense of security for staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors within a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and around its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and/or hazards, and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and helping to direct authorized personnel or visitors as needed.
  • Document incidents and daily activities clearly and accurately as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and other personnel to address security-related concerns unique to the environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
