As a Security Officer - Dispatch Patrol Driver in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Dispatch Officer in an automotive-focused location, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling the premises while supporting security-related communications and coordination. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents, and interact with visitors and employees to provide exceptional customer service. This is a driving position, and you will be responsible for relaying information quickly and accurately. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and coordinate communications for the site, dispatching Allied Universal personnel as needed to respond to incidents and requests for assistance.
  • Document and report all incidents, calls, and dispatch activities in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Assist in controlling access and monitoring entry points to help to deter unauthorized activity within the location.
  • Provide assistance and customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors, addressing inquiries and relaying information as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures for the location.
  • Collaborate with site personnel to relay important information and updates regarding security-related matters.
  • Maintain situational awareness of activities within the location and surrounding areas through surveillance systems and communication channels.
  • Support Allied Universal team members by coordinating emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
