As a Security Officer - Access Control Gate in Gibbstown, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and identification for all individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by answering questions and assisting with directions as required.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain order within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Document observations and incidents accurately and promptly, reporting relevant information to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel or client contacts.
  • Support emergency response activities and follow instructions during drills or real incidents as directed by site management or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
