As a Security Officer - Unarmed Shelter Patrol Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the grounds of a shelter location, helping to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for all. This role involves regular driving responsibilities, as you conduct patrols and remain visible to support a sense of comfort among those on site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, residents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the shelter environment in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential issues.
• Observe and report any irregularities, including property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Communicate and collaborate with shelter staff and Allied Universal management as needed regarding security-related matters.
• Maintain detailed records of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by site protocols.
• Assist with access control, helping to monitor and manage the movement of individuals within the shelter location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Primarily driving post is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
