Job Description


As a Security Guard - Manufacturing Patrol in Gresham, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a manufacturing and industrial location, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to promote a sense of security, and interact with employees and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or site leadership regarding incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior or conditions found during patrols around the location.
  • Assist in controlling access to the location by verifying credentials and/or visitor information as required.
  • Support emergency response protocols and assist with evacuations or drills as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
