Job Description


As a Armed Security Professional - Government Site in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal in a government location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and patrolling designated areas. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, assisting with x-ray screening, and staying visible to help deter potential security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while adhering to emergency response protocols as needed.
  • Conduct security-related screening of individuals entering the location, following established guidelines to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the security-related needs of the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities and any incidents that occur during the shift.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and/or law enforcement as required by site protocols.
  • Remain alert and attentive while monitoring entry points, ensuring all persons comply with access requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
