As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Financial Institution in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution location and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and observe for unusual activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas for potential security-related concerns, reporting and documenting observations as required.
  • Carry out site-specific tasks such as verifying identification, assisting with access control, and adhering to protocols for an armed post.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and first responders when situations at the financial institution require additional support.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate written reports of daily activities and incidents.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to staff, clients, and visitors.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions and maintain all required certifications for an armed security-related position.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • Applicants must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
