Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Rowland Heights, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a prominent cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the location and respond promptly to various situations. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and embody our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at cultural institution locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols inside and around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Collaborate with staff and visitors to support a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining awareness of surroundings and potential issues.
  • Assist in access control by monitoring entrances and exits, checking identification as needed, and providing directions or information to visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
