Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol CRE Property in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with tenants and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while maintaining a strong presence. This armed post requires a current guard card/license and allows you to demonstrate professionalism and integrity while upholding our company's values of teamwork, innovation, and a people-first culture. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm, problem-solving approach, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual conditions or activities according to site protocols.
  • Carry and responsibly manage authorized firearms while on duty, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Support site operations by documenting and communicating all incidents, observations and/or concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Interact professionally with tenants, visitors, and/or contractors to address questions or provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
