As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Clio, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the assigned areas. Your role includes monitoring premises, assisting employees and visitors, and supporting access control. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while embracing our values of agility, reliability, and innovation. This position requires driving as part of your patrol responsibilities, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while working as part of a caring and collaborative team.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain awareness of the unique environment found within tech, media, and telecom locations, adapting security-related activities to meet the needs of the site.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors, assisting with directions or information as needed.
  • Document security-related observations, incidents, and/or activities according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency response activities, following established procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
