As a Security Officer - Armed Bank Patrol Part-Time in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order and support client needs.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter of the financial institution to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential risks.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and assisting authorized personnel as needed.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or incidents to Allied Universal and/or local authorities as required.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the client location to help to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Follow all protocols for carrying and handling assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Assist with access control duties, including checking identification and monitoring visitor logs.
  • Provide timely and accurate written and/or verbal reports of security-related incidents, patrol activities, and other site occurrences.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent is required.
  • An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
