Job Description


As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control Full-Time in Dayton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service to everyone you interact with. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Provide customer service by following site-specific policies and procedures, addressing inquiries and assisting authorized personnel and visitors as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols as outlined for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols both within the facility and along the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe for any security-related concerns.
  • Document and report all security-related activities, incidents, or unusual observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related needs and maintain clear communication regarding any issues encountered during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
