Job Description


As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Driver in West Bountiful, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. This driving post involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to various situations with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical and petrochemical facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and/or visitors as required by site policies.
  • Document and report any observed irregularities, unusual occurrences, or potential hazards in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities by following instructions and cooperating with on-site personnel and/or first responders.
  • Maintain awareness of the location's unique operational environment and adapt patrols and security-related activities to meet site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
