Job Description


As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Driver in Port Arthur, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a major chemical and petrochemical location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. You will be responsible for controlling entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to support a secure environment. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity through teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Assist with access control procedures at the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain compliance with site-specific policies.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials of personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required by site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by addressing inquiries and assisting with directions or site information.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal team members during security-related events or drills.
  • Maintain awareness of potential hazards and site-specific risks associated with chemical and petrochemical operations, and communicate concerns to appropriate parties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
