As a Security Professional - Access Control in Schertz, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in supporting a secure environment at a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine checks, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Maintain access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to observe and report any suspicious or unusual activity.
  • Provide professional customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting visitors in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and support security-related operations.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client guidelines.
  • Collaborate with logistics and distribution staff to facilitate smooth access and flow of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries while upholding access control procedures.
  • Assist in emergency response activities, such as evacuations or lockdowns, when appropriate and in alignment with site instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
