As a Security Officer Armed Patrol - Transportation Stations in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and clear communication.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity, hazards, or potential security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities and emergency responders as needed during critical situations.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation of all incidents, observations, and activities during the shift.
  • Maintain a visible presence while on patrol to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Follow all site-specific policies and procedures, including those related to the carrying and use of authorized firearms.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
