Job Description


As a Armed Security Officer - Retail Patrol - Full Time in Waxahachie, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere for customers and staff at a retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible throughout the premises, and responding to situations as needed. This armed position requires a strong commitment to customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the retail environment to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Assist customers, visitors, and employees by providing information or direction as appropriate within the retail environment.
  • Prepare detailed incident and patrol reports documenting observations, actions taken, and outcomes during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification if required in Texas.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
