Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer within a financial institution location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence for staff and visitors. Your role will involve carrying out routine patrols, responding promptly to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service while upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities, making it a dynamic opportunity for professionals eager to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at financial institution locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate escalation protocols as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, checking for proper identification and access credentials.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to provide assistance and information as needed.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related situations in accordance with training and site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
