Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Chemical Patrol Driver in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This post requires both armed and driving responsibilities, providing a dynamic environment where you interact with staff and visitors and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, which may include indoor and outdoor chemical or petrochemical environments.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activities by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring for suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the location.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with onsite personnel and emergency responders during incidents to support a coordinated response.
  • Maintain awareness of hazardous materials and follow protocols specific to chemical and petrochemical environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
