As a Security Officer - Logistics Badge Control in Dayton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling assigned areas within a bustling logistics and distribution location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents, while your attention to detail and strong communication skills foster a welcoming environment for everyone on-site. What You'll Do:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Monitor security-related systems and respond to alarms or other indications of unauthorized access.
• Provide customer service by assisting staff, visitors, and delivery personnel with directions and information as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
• Assist with emergency response activities according to established protocols, including supporting evacuation or lockdown procedures if necessary.
• Communicate security-related information to supervisors and site management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
