As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Driver Unarmed in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining visible within a dynamic retail and mall environment. This unarmed position involves interacting with tenants, visitors, and staff to provide exceptional customer service while addressing various security-related concerns. The role is a driving post, requiring operation of a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the retail and mall environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
• Assist with access control procedures, including monitoring entrances and exits, to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel or management.
• Support emergency response activities as required, such as assisting with evacuations or providing directions to emergency responders.
• Maintain a visible presence within the retail and mall areas to help to deter potential disturbances and foster a welcoming environment for patrons.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports as directed by Allied Universal and/or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
