What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the retail location.
• Carry out regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Respond in a calm, problem-solving manner to incidents and critical situations that may arise on site.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, in accordance with established protocols.
• Observe and report any suspicious behaviors or conditions encountered during patrols to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or other disruptions within the location.
• Collaborate with store staff and visitors to address security-related questions or concerns as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
