As a Security Guard - Education Patrol Driver in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and contribute to a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, respond to emergencies in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns within the location to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, students, and staff with questions or directions, maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence throughout the location.
  • Complete required documentation, such as incident reports and daily activity logs, in an accurate and timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
