Job Description


As a Security Officer - CRE Patrol Specialist in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure atmosphere for tenants and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence throughout the property, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
  • Assist with access control by verifying the credentials of individuals entering the premises as required by site-specific policies.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences, completing necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and property management staff to support a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
