As a Security Officer - Education Patrol in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and support a positive environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout school buildings and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor movement within the location.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations during patrols.
• Support school staff and administration during special events and/or emergency drills in accordance with site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
