Job Description


As a Unarmed Security Officer - Access Control in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment, while your professionalism and customer service skills help foster positive interactions with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access points within the chemical or petrochemical location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain site integrity.
  • Verify credentials of employees, contractors, and visitors as they enter and exit the facility, following all site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Assist with visitor management, including registration, issuing badges, and providing directions as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to observe for any security-related concerns or irregularities.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activity, or hazards according to established procedures.
  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors by addressing questions and supporting security-related needs.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuation procedures and communication with site management or emergency personnel as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or General Educational Development is required by the client.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
