As a Security Guard - Access Control - Full Time in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attentive customer service will create a welcoming environment while supporting a secure workplace. This role involves driving responsibilities, following company driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry and admit only authorized personnel and visitors.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees and visitors with security-related inquiries and directions as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for emergency response in a chemical or petrochemical environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for irregularities, potential security-related hazards, or breaches.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of access control activities and report any security-related incidents or concerns to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
• Follow all site-specific policies and procedures related to security-related operations in a chemical and/or petrochemical location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
