Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrols in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This position requires an armed guard card/license. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide responsive customer service while representing our values of agility, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment, providing customer service to clients, visitors, and staff.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and working with other personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including helping to facilitate evacuations and/or lockdowns when necessary.
  • Communicate professionally with healthcare staff, visitors, and patients while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Document incidents, observations, and actions taken during patrols or responses using company-provided reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Current certification in CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
